Established in 2010 and headquartered in the Solomon Islands, Baoro & Associates CPA is a trusted accounting, audit, and advisory firm serving clients across the Pacific. With the 2022 acquisition of Yam & Company Chartered Accountants, also based in the Solomon Islands, we strengthened our local capacity and expertise. Through strategic growth, Baoro & Associates has expanded its footprint into Kiribati and beyond, positioning us to better support businesses across the region. Backed by over 90 years of combined professional experience, we deliver expert financial guidance and tailored solutions for Pacific Island enterprises and international investors alike. Our Story
Baoro & Associates was founded by two friends and colleagues — Baoro and Yabeta — both highly experienced Accountants with a deep-rooted passion for the Solomon Islands and a vision to provide high-quality, locally grounded financial services at affordable prices.
Drawing on their diverse experience across corporate, public, non-profit, and government sectors, they established Baoro & Associates with a strong focus on professional integrity and practical solutions.
By the time Yabeta retired after 6 months, the team had expanded to around 5 members. As the firm grew, by 2015, the practice was registered as a company and renamed Baoro & Associates CPA Ltd, reflecting its professional accreditation.
In a move to serve the wider region, the firm expanded operations into Kiribati, placing a staff member on the ground to support local administration and client engagement. We also have relationships with other international auditing companies, including Lochan & Co Chartered Accountants, jointly carrying out audits in Vanuatu, Kiribati, Marshall Islands and Solomon Islands. In 2022, Baoro & Associates acquired Yam & Company Associates Ltd following the retirement of its founder, Austin Yam. Now under Baoro & Associates ownership, Yam & Co continues to operate with ongoing support from Baoro & Associates, while Austin has become a valued client. We also manage a number of his former clients and assets in the Solomon Islands, ensuring continuity and care.
Today, Baoro & Associates is one of Solomon Islands’ leading accounting firms. With a team of 21 full time staff — a combination of professionals and support staff — we offer a comprehensive range of services including audits, accounting, tax, advisory, property management, foreign investor support, forensic investigations, billeting, project management, employer of records, payroll services and just about anything our clients need. Our firm has built a strong reputation through lasting relationships, local knowledge, and a steadfast commitment to integrity.
